a nook is recessed and a cranny is bumped out
English Muffins have nooks and cranies......delicious!!
Hmmmm... I'll say a cranny is recessed straight and a nook is recessed with a bend?
A nook is where the butter rests. A cranny is the crunchy part. Together they make english muffins heavenly.
