OMG! Another one I know...Edvard Munch. he was agoraphobic and painted this to show how he felt when he was around people in an open setting. Art History is my second favorite subject after literature.
Munch Munch Munch Munch Munch. The story behind the painting is that the red sky actually appeared in Norway due to some astronomical anomaly. I would give more info but I am forbidden to do any internet searches until I answer this question :)
