Vibraphone
Lionel Leo Hampton (April 20, 1908 – August 31, 2002) was an American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, bandleader and actor. Like Red Norvo, he was one of the first jazz vibraphone players. Hampton ranks among the great names in jazz history, having worked with a who's who of jazz musicians, from Benny Goodman and Buddy Rich to Charlie Parker and Quincy Jones. In 1992, he was inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.

but hes playing a xylophone in the picture... oh wait, they look identical too? hmmmmm.....
The most obvious way to recognize the vibraphone is by the presence of its aluminum bars. This aluminum is obtained from the standard commercial manufacturers. There is change in sound if alloys of aluminum are used to make its bars. Therefore the manufacturers are very careful in choosing the alloys and they have to balance the tonal properties of each alloy. On the other hand in xylophone bars made from rosewood or padak are used.
You just stepped on a deaf person's hopes and dreams.
